An updated identity with a new website and completely new packaging positioned Switzers as an exciting treat you can share with family and friends.
SHARING THE TASTES WE CRAVE
Switzer's Purpose: Bringing family and friends together to spend quality time making memories for years to come. This has been their mission since the very beginning when Frederick Michael Switzer began making his candy back in 1888. Our challenge was to respect the brand heritage but build a bridge to usher in new fans and new flavors.
NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
As a non-chocolate treat maker, the goal is to bring new and exciting products to market that will create momentum for the Switzer brand. Using real fruit to enhance the taste is one of Switzer's quality standards they've always followed from the beginning.

WHAT'S OLD IS NEW AGAIN
Grandpa Switzer loved real caramels. He knew that only a caramel that is made with real dairy produces the creamy, chewy texture and luscious flavor he caved. That's why he named his original caramels "Buttermels," referencing all the dairy richness in his caramels. And that's why 100 years later, we are re-introducing them. Buttermels the real caramel.
WILD WITH FLAVOR
Switzers is all about authenticity when it comes to their brand as well as their flavors. Always looking for new taste experiences brings an excitement that challenges status quo, and Switzers is up to the challenge. A willingness and eagerness to experiment is what drives Switzers to constantly develop new flavors and evolve their brand for the better.
BOARDWALK INSPIRATION
Who doesn't love going to the fair or walking the boardwalk to play games, eat corn dogs, ride roller coasters and ferris wheels. Much like the excitement each ride provides, flavors should also remind people of the fun times that they've had. This is the guiding force behind Switzer's old-fashioned pulled salt water Seaside Taffy.
BEFORE SOCIAL MEDIA
Hard to believe there was a time when extended families would put together food baskets, leisurely jaunt over to the nearest park, throw down a huge blanket, setup some chairs, and have an afternoon picnic. The children would spend the afternoon exploring the secret sections of the park while the adults would talk to each other face-to-face. This by-gone era is the inspiration for Switzer's Soft and Silky Caramels.
